Llandudno, the largest and most popular of the Welsh seaside resorts still retains much of its Victorian character and charm. The golden sandy Blue Flag beach at North Shore is set in the magnificent crescent - shaped bay, flanked by Great Ormes Head and Little Orme, with Llandudno and its elegant promenade lying protected between the headlands. The Isle of Anglesey has one of the most distinctive, attractive and varied landscapes in the British Isles with much of it designated Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Popular with our customers in recent years, our base in Llandudno is the highly rated ST KILDA HOTEL which is situated on the seafront promenade with fabulous views across Great Orme and Llandudno Bay. Features of the hotel include a bar where drinks and snacks are served throughout the day and two lounges in which to relax. All the en suite bedrooms are tastefully decorated and feature tv, telephone and hospitality tray and there is evening entertainment during our stay. A passenger lift serves the majority of bedrooms (some stairs to top floor rooms)
BRIEF ITINERARY
Monday 25th May
Departing Newark early morning, we travel via Derbyshire and Chester (for lunch) so into Wales and the coast at Llandudno, arriving here late afternoon.
Tuesday 26th– Thursday 28th May
Scheduled excursions during our stay will include the following:
• Free day at leisure in Llandudno
• Full day tour crossing the Menai Bridge to the beautiful Isle of Anglesey which will include a visit to Plas Cadnant Gardens described as one of North Wales best kept secrets. Highly rated by one of our private group tours last year, our visit here will conclude with an afternoon cup of tea and cake
• Full day tour to Llanberis where we board the diesel train service to the summit of Mount Snowdon - the highest mountain in Wales and described as one of the most wonderful railway journeys in the world.
Friday 29th May
Departing Llandudno after a leisurely breakfast, we return via Llangollen and the Horse Shoe Pass, so home to Newark for approximately teatime.
