Loch Lomond, (the largest freshwater lake in Britain) lies in the heart of the scenic Trossachs National Park. Centred around a pretty village green, the picturesque village of Drymen is the gateway to the unspoilt eastern shore of the loch and a favourite resting place when walking through the breathtaking scenery of the West Highland Way.
New for 2020, our tour includes a ride aboard the award winning Boness & Kinneil Heritage Steam Railway, a scenic 10 mile journey along the Forth Estuary through woodlands, past waterfalls and over the Avon Viaduct.
Our base in Drymen is the very comfortable WINNOCK HOTEL ( a firm Travel Wright customer favourite) which is situated overlooking the village green. Dating back to the 18th century the hotel retains much of its historic charm, open log fires and oak beams offering a relaxed and friendly welcome. Features of the hotel include a restaurant and traditional bar and all of the en suite bedrooms have tv, telephone and hospitality tray. Although there is no lift, the hotel does have several ground floor rooms available which have their own access and are situated just across from the main hotel.
